Carey & Associates International is pleased to announce our affiliation with NEK Advanced Securities Group as their exclusive provider of Covert Entry training.  NEK is a leader in the field of Special Operations Forces (SOF) training and support with an emphasis on advanced technical training.  

Our affiliation with NEK will necessarily require that we adjust our current training schedule in order to accommodate an increasing demand for technical military training.  Our availability for mobile law enforcement training in the area of Specialized Building Entries will be greatly reduced.  However, we will make every effort to continue to support our longstanding clients.  

In an effort to meet our new operational requirements and yet continue to meet the needs of the law enforcement and military communities needing Specialized Building Entry training we have entered into a training alliance with two quality training firms that will be providing the same training we've offered since our inception.    

It is our privilege to introduce the following firms and trainers:

Mr. Martin Holloway has 11 years of law enforcement experience.  He is currently a federal agent and was formerly a municipal law enforcement officer.  He is the owner and lead instructor of Hollotec Technical Entry Concepts.  Martin will be based out of Grenada, MS.  

Mr. Dan Elting is a municipal police officer with over 16 years of experience.  Dan has extensive operational and instructional experience.  He is the owner and instructor of Jericho Specialized Entry Training LLC.  Dan will be based out of Phoenix, AZ.      

Since 1999 Carey & Associates International has specialized in providing on-site training to civilian and military law enforcement officers, as well as military special operations and explosive ordnance disposal personnel, on the subject of Specialized Building Entries.  

Our Specialized Building Entry Course is a hands-on program that focuses on the use of lock picking techniques and subtle mechanical breaching skills (bypassing lock systems) by patrol officers, investigators, tactical personnel, and those in the military special operations communities. The course can be customized and configured to meet the specific needs of an organization or unit.

The Specialized Building Entry Course is an intense, fast paced, 2-day program that covers topics such as intelligence gathering in support of an entry, entry planning, formulating emergency contingency plans, lock nomenclature and brands, picking tools and techniques, and lock bypassing skills and specialized tools useful when a lock can not be picked or a picking strategy may not be safe to employ. Our training during this course focuses on a single building entry strategy; getting into a building quietly and preserving the element of surprise event until the very last possible moment. The end result of this strategy is the unannounced and unexpected arrival of an overwhelming tactical force, reducing the likelihood that violence will occur in resolving the situation and minimizing property damage.

The Specialized Building Entry Course has been hailed by former students as a course that is applicable in all areas of law enforcement as well as in the military special operations realm. Please visit our “student’s comments” section for their assessment of the usefulness of the training.

In 2006 we expanded the curriculum of the Specialized Building Course and stood up our Covert Building Entry Course to meet the needs of military special operations personnel involved in the war on terror and law enforcement personnel serving covert entry search warrants in support of complex counter-terrorism, narcotic, and organized crime investigations. Class size is limited to 14 students.

Our Covert Building Entry Course combines many of the skill sets taught in the Specialized Building Entry Course with expanded techniques, the introduction of hybrid tools, and lock-specific defeat techniques. Decoding locks, code cutting of keys, and skills specific to this type of entry are also covered.
